Getting Started

When you open ZipScan for the first time, you will notice that the screen is divided into two parts. On the left is the Search Parameters Window. From here, you can choose all the options that affect your search. On the right is the Results List Window where all the files found during your search will be listed.

To get started straight away, have a look at Basic Searching.

To easily perform basic searches, see that Search Wizard.

To find out how to specify the parameters of your search, look in the Introduction to Search Parameters.

If you want to know what you can do with the files that have been found in your search, look at the Results Window information.

There are other features in ZipScan, including a special search that enables Java developers to find the class files that their programs include.

You can configure the program’s settings to affect how its searches and displays its results.

The registered version of ZipScan includes a Command Line Interface for automated, mouse-free searching.
