Open or Extract Archive File

If you just want to open an archive file, such as a zip or CAB file, without actually searching, ZipScan can do this for you. Select ‘Open Archive File’ from the File menu and choose the archive file you wish to examine. The results list will show all the files that are contained inside this archive file.

From here, you can extract all or some of the files:

Select the files you want to extract
Under the Results menu, select ‘Extract’
Enter the directory where you wish the files to be written.

In addition, you can extract all of the contents of an archive file in one operation by selecting ‘Extract Archive file’ from the File menu. You will be prompted to choose the archive file you wish to extract and then to choose the directory to which the files should be written.
