Bug Reports
If you find a bug in this software, please report it to us. Please include in your report the following information (where relevant):
- The version of ZipScan you are using. (Select ‘About’ under the Help menu)
- Whether you are running the full or evaluation version of the program.
- The operating system (Windows 98/2000/ME/XP) you are using.
- How the error was caused and whether it can be repeated.
- What sort of search you were doing (e.g. searching lots of directories or searching a single directory with lots of zip files etc.)
- The error log file which by default is called ZSLog.txt and generated in the same directory as ZipScan.exe. If it is possible to repeat the error, please enable ‘Verbose logging’ on the the Miscellaneous Settings page and then perform the steps that cause the error to occur. This means that as much information as possible is included in the log file.
Please do not send large (>2 MBytes) attachments unsolicited. If you need to send an example file or picture to illustrate a problem, please ensure it is a small file or contact us first.
